I spin on both drop spindles and a lady bug spinning wheel. I almost always ply on the wheel, plying on a drop spindle takes sooooo long. I love the portability of drop spindles, I can take it to the park with the kids, to a bar if I am scared of small talk, and even in the car. But the wheel has expanded my scope and increased the speed, although no one spins yarn by hand for speediness.
